The General Chapter of the Schoenstatt Fathers has elected the remaining members of the new General Council of the Institute. Besides the General Superior, Fr Juan Pablo Catoggio (Argentina), another new member comes into the highest level or responsibility: Fr José Luis Zabala (Chile). Three members of the former Council have been reelected, among them also Fr Heinrich Walter.

Have you noticed from which countries our Chapter Fathers come? Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Democratic Republic of Congo, Germany, India, Nigeria, Poland, Switzerland and South Africa. And they represent even more nationalities, as they have been elected by all nations where Schoenstatt Fathers live and work, altogether 19 at the present.
At the beginning of the new week P. Raúl Espina gave a report on the formation of the Schoenstatt Fathers. He named challenges and perspectives.
Am zweiten Tag des Generalkapitels geht es hoch her auf dem Berg Sion. Bei der Morgenmesse um 07:15h, als der Nebel noch vom Rheintal her über den Westerwald kroch, wurden zwei neue Regionen der Schönstatt-Patres in Indien errichtet.
Following a festive procession and by Holy Mass, Father Walter Heinrich, inaugurated the Fifth General Chapter of the Community. Forty-one Chapter members have now to discuss and decide upon key issues of the global Community.
